George yawned sleepily. He thought they'd lowered his dose of painkillers, from the aches and pains, as well as the fact he could stay awake long than a minute or two. God, he wished he could go back. He was resolutely not thinking yet. He wished he had something to help him not think, but they wouldn't bring him anything. It was making him cranky.

George had most the stuff he'd bough still in Chris' room...he didn't really use his own room that often, since Chris had gotten here. He figured he'd go back to using it when Chris left but for now it just had a single change of clothes, his books and now, dinner a chess set, and the presents for Jim.
